Keeping People Safe
Creating Safe and Inclusive Spaces for All
Motivation India is committed to upholding the safety, dignity, and rights of every person we work with, especially persons with disabilities, children, and other vulnerable people. Our safeguarding policy ensures that all our programmes, partnerships, and engagements are guided by care, respect, and zero tolerance for abuse, harm, or exploitation.
What Safeguarding Means to Us
Safeguarding at Motivation India goes beyond compliance. It means:
- Protecting children, persons with disabilities, and vulnerable adults from abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
- Ensuring our staff, volunteers, and partners are trained, aware, and accountable.
- Creating spaces where individuals feel safe to speak up and be heard.
- Putting the rights and wellbeing of people at the centre of all our work.
Our Safeguarding Principles
- Zero Tolerance for Abuse: We do not tolerate any form of physical, emotional, sexual, or psychological abuse.
- Do No Harm: All our actions and programmes are designed to reduce risk and avoid unintended harm.
- Empowerment and Inclusion: We believe everyone, especially persons with disabilities, should be heard, supported, and included in safeguarding processes.
- Accountability and Transparency: We hold ourselves and our partners to high ethical and legal standards.
What We Do
- Screen and train all staff, volunteers, and partners on safeguarding and child protection.
- Implement strict Codes of Conduct for all those working with children and vulnerable adults.
- Ensure confidential and accessible reporting mechanisms for concerns and grievances.
- Work closely with local authorities and legal systems to take timely action where required.
- Integrate safeguarding risk assessments into every programme we deliver.
Reporting Concerns
If you see, hear, or experience something concerning, you have the right to speak up.
All reports are handled with care, confidentiality, and without retaliation.

Partnering Safely
We work only with organisations and individuals who align with our safeguarding values. All partner organisations are expected to adopt and implement safeguarding practices, especially in programmes involving children or people with disabilities.
Continuous Improvement
Safeguarding is not a one-time activity. We regularly:
- Review and update our policies
- Conduct internal audits and refresher trainings
- Learn from incidents and feedback to strengthen our systems.
At Motivation India, safety is not just a policy—it is a promise.
